MEDIA BLASTING

Media blasting is the process of using compressed air to propel abrasive media through a gun towards a desired surface in order to clean, deburr, smooth, roughen or remove contaminants from that surface in order to prepare it to receive a subsequent coating.

This process can be an extremely important first step in achieving the sought after component finish.

Media Blasting, or more commonly referred to as, “sandblasting” removes rust, paint, and surface contaminants leaving the etched surface completely prepared for the final finishing process. Whether it will be painted or powder coated this surface will provide maximum adhesion of the cosmetic finish.

Our skilled team uses #80 Grit Aluminum Oxide as the media. This will cut even the most demanding metals and surfaces leaving a substrate ready for your finish.
